Rosie Jones was picked out at the end of 2016 by Metro as one of the Hilarious Women To Watch Out For 2017. Her cerebral palsy – a neurological condition affecting movement and coordination – doesn’t slow her down. She worked on the team of C4′s The Last Leg in Rio for the Olympics, and has written for 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown and The Now Show (Radio 4). Despite her background in production, comedy is where Rosie’s heart lies: “For me comedy comes hand in hand with disability, because comedy breaks down the fear of disability.” Rosie’s set is laden with hilariously accurate observations on people’s reactions to disabled people.
“Her cheekiness makes her a compelling performer” – Chortle
Kelly Convey is an in-your-face and reassuringly confident comedian who is not one to mince her words when giving audiences an insight into what modern women really think. While her outspoken and forward-thinking musings may go against the grain, there’s a winning authenticity to her material that is refreshing and relatable. Voted by The Metro as ‘1 of 9 Hilarious Women to Look Out for in 2017’, Kelly Convey is, no doubt, one to watch. With a face like butter wouldn’t melt and a mouth like a white van man, Kelly brings a side-splitting and strangely refreshing mix of feminine and ladette style to subjects women rarely talk about in public.
“One of the most rapidly-rising new comics on the circuit” – British Comedy Guide 2017
The delightful Troy Hawke is back as MC. Homeschooled by an overly nostalgic mother, Troy confronts the 21st century as if waking from a 1930′s time capsule with insightful and hilarious consequences. Alongside TV appearances on Blue Go Mad in Ibiza (ITV2), Live at the Electric (BBC Three) and Benidorm (ITV1), Milo McCabe (Troy’s creator) is an established character comedian with several successful Edinburgh runs under his belt, twice nominated for Best Show at The Amused Moose Laughter awards and listed as one of GQ magazine’s Top 10 shows of the Fringe.
