He is an energetic and exciting performer with an unquenchable thirst to break boundaries and innovate with his work. With a surreal edge to some of his mischievous rantings, he always brings something new to the stage whilst his keen sense of fun and eye for the shocking and absurd has cemented his position as one of the best comedians on the circuit today. After a career in health and social care, Angela Barnes decided to realise a long held ambition and give comedy a go. Within a couple of years she had won the 2011 BBC New Comedy Award and became a finalist at the 2011 Latitude Festival New Act of the Year competition. Since 2011, Angela and her witty world view have been catapulted onto numerous radio and television shows including appearances on Russell Howard’s Good News, Mock The Week, Russell Kane’s Whistle Stop Tour and The Now Show.

With his offbeat, intelligent style Alasdair won the New Act of the Year Competition in 2014 and was a finalist in the Laughing Horse New Act, Leicester Square Theatre New act and So You Think You’re Funny? competitions in 2013. He has since been featured on BBC radio as a comic and sketch writer and has performed stand-up across the UK, in the Glastonbury Festival Cabaret Tent and at the Edinburgh Fringe. What else do you need to know? He knows quite a lot about 19th century magicians, and tourists regularly ask to have their photo taken with him.

Compere for the night is Rob Collins. As an international headline act and compere, Rob has been wowing audiences across the globe with his hilarious comedy for over 12 years. In 2004 he reached the final of the prestigious new comedian competition So You Think You’re Funny? and since then he has used his ability to entertain any audience to become a regular on the UK comedy circuit. Overseas, Rob has appeared in numerous clubs across Europe and in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and America.
